Memories from Beijing

After visiting Beijing and Shanghai last Spring, I shamefully still haven't edited and posted photos or written about the trips as I have for the other places we visited in Asia. It's on the massive to do list.
This shot is one of the first photos I took in Beijing, after Linh and I checked into our hotel early evening and ventured out to the nearby Wangfujing. It was obviously dark by then, and though the triangular roof, over door sign and lion statues are commonplace - even in overseas Chinatowns - taking the photo was the start of my photographic ritual in documenting my visit.
