One of the highlights during Kibook's early history was the acquisition of British American Tobacco as a client. Such a large multinational was a boost for our small design business though we did struggle initially with the fact that it was a tobacco company.
However, the work we did was purely to promote their sponsorship of Formula 1 and never their products so that (along with the sizeable budgets!) meant we slept easy at night.
Adapting the design of our Fantasy Formula 1 competition software was a great chance to work with the distinctive Lucky Strike brand. The graphics are bold and simple but elegant, and the F1 photography - stunning!
We integrated these elements into our Fantasy Formula 1 package to create a mini community site for their intranet, bringing together all their employees from their international offices.
This allowed people to compete against all other employees on an individual basis as well as for offices to compete against other offices!
The whole project and relationship with BAT worked tremendously leading to a second year of the competition and a subsequent project thereafter.
