Data Fragged Olympic Mascot
Tuesday, 09 September, 2008When I was working on image processing for The BC Project website the other week, some upload corruption happened with one of the images of the blow up olympic mascot Huanhuan. Something to do with the upload method in Dreamweaver which suddenly decided to recolour my pixels.

This sort of thing sometimes happens, whether its your Operating System freezing or a program crashes and hangs.
I guess its typical that designers can see the beauty in that kind of technical bug, but I did think that my corrupted image looked quite nice. Unusable on The BC Project website, but still nice nevertheless.
It reminds me of a data fragmentation diagrams in one of those hard drive defragging software apps. Or some kind of cool 8-bit retro arcade artwork. Must be because of Huanhuan's eyes peeking through the bars. Here's another coloured mistake..
